"I wish Santorum would give up running for president for Lent"

If you look at every European country that has had world domination, a world presence, from the French to the British — 100 years ago, the sun didn’t set on the British Empire. If you look at that empire today — why? Because they lost heart and faith in their heart in themselves and in their mission, who they were and what values they wanted to spread around the world. Not just for the betterment of the world, but safety and security and the benefit of their country. We have taken up that cause. We have a president who doesn’t believe in America.

In an impossibly close race, Mitt Romney won the Iowa caucuses by a mere 8 votes over Rick Santorum.

Those following the precinct tallies were treated to the political equivalent of a triple-overtime basketball game, with the lead switching back and forth between the candidates in maddening fashion. No sooner did Santorum take the stage to deliver his speech, then the slim lead shifted to Romney.
Later, when Romney headed to his podium, the numbers swing back in Santorum’s favor by handful of votes. At one point late in the night Romney was up by just one vote.

The virtual tie was a tremendous accomplishment for Santorum, the lowest-funded candidate in the field, who has endured throughout the early Republican primary as the forgotten tortoise in the race.
“Game on,” he declared to his supporters last night, dismissing the idea that he couldn’t win against President Obama. “What wins — what wins in America are bold ideas, sharp contrasts and a plan that includes everyone.”

Can you imagine if Santorum got the nom though
I’m picturing Santorum v Obama and it’s kind of beautiful

If hunger is a problem in America, then why do we have an obesity problem among the people who we say have a hunger program?
